This entrance to Rold forest is a very nice place to start your day in the forest. In the old days it was used to stack the logs from the forest before further transportation.

At Stabelpladsen you’ll find a large playground made by all natural materials. There are toilets and a good parking spot. You’ll find tables and benches as well, so it is an ideal spot for a picnic.

About 500 meters into the forest you’ll find Hvass lake and the newly established Ecobase – also with tables and chairs.
