Around the Mariager fjord you’ll find a multitude of excursion spots, which apart from the handsome and varied scenery also presents a piece of ancient history.
For a century the Munkholm” park has been a favourite excursion spot for the citizens of Mariager. In the park you’ll find beautiful scenery, a lake with a fountain and a nice, little pavilion.
“Hohøj” is the largest Bronze Age barrow of Scandinavia. From the top the view is amazing and on a clear day you can see as far as the town Viborg.
