Bramslev Bakker

Bramslev Bakker is a unique natural resort with its rolling hills and many juniper bushes. It’s the only place around the fjord with this type of landscape, so it’s well worth a visit.

Bramslev Bakker (The hills of Bramslev)
Bramslev Bakker is a protected natural resort. Sheep run free among the hills to keep the vegetation down so that the thousand-year-old environment doesn’t change.

The impressive juniper thicket has evolved over the years as juniper is one of the few plants that the sheep don’t eat.
The preserved natural resort runs along the Mariager fjord which cuts deep into the landscape. The view over the fjord from the parking lot at Bramslev Bakker is one of the most impressive in northern Jutland. The steep slopes are a real change compared to the more flat agricultural land that surrounds the fjord.

Tracks for hiking runs through the Bramslev Bakker, they are marked and easy to follow. A trip along one of the tracks will allow you to experience the countryside and to enjoy the peace and the views.

For a very small amount of money that you just leave in a box, you are allowed to drive all the way down to the beach from the top of the hills. The beach is handicap-friendly and has the Blue Flag
