Mariager fjord offers some of the best trout fishing in Europe. The trout here take advantage of an ample food supply and as such are well-nourished bordering on obese.

If you would like to increase your chances for a catch, you can visit one of the many Put & Take's in the Mariager Fjord area. Where you pay a fee for fishing in a lake, where e.g. rainbow tout is raised.
